Death in the Desert - This map shows recorded migrant deaths in southern Arizona from January 2004 to July 14, 2010, blending demographic data with illustrating trends over time and highlighting areas that are particularly lethal for migrants.

One Question - Unidentified bodies are a challenge for medical examiners and coroners nationwide. Some jurisdictions — particularly those along the border — have more cases than others. This data project is designed to provide a county-by-county look at the problem of unidentified bodies and explore the reasons why the problem is more prevalent in some areas.

We need your help to complete the project. If you are interested in helping please answer the following questions about your county and submit the information. Once verified, your data will appear within the map.
